95 points Vinous: "A highly perfumed bouquet evokes spice-accented red and blue fruits, cherry cola, potpourri and exotic spices, all sharpened by a smoky mineral topnote. Supple and energetic in the mouth, offering sappy, mineral- and spice-inflected black raspberry, cherry pie and candied lavender flavors that spread out steadily through the back half. Shows fine delineation and finishes extremely long and spicy, with polished tannins and lingering floral and red fruit liqueur notes."

95 points Wine Advocate: "Extraordinarily perfumed this vintage, with scents of rose petals, Earl Grey tea, lavender and loads of intense black fruits. The palate is arresting, seamless and silky and loaded with perfumed flavors that call you back again and again to the glass. It's one of the loveliest Pinot Noirs I've tasted this vintage from the Willamette Valley.
Expressively bright and red-fruited, with a heavenly Pinot perfume. Pulsing with energy and more than anything, totally pretty throughout, there’s a shimmering depth lurking beneath the surface. Beautiful acidity, tons of dry extract–this wine will age a decade with ease but hot diggity is it drinking well right now. Goodfellow likens it to a Jaguar E-Type convertible: lithe, sleek, rich, classic. 165 cases made.
A superb, old vine site in the Dundee Hills, Durant was planted in 1973 and 1993. A stone's throw from the original Eyrie Vineyard, below White Rose, and adjacent to Domaine Drouhin and Archery Summit (not too shabby a neighborhood). - Marcus
