Just when you think it can't get better...it does. Belle Pente strolls in with a bonkers-delicious 2023 Willamette Valley Pinot. Sure, we expect excellence from them but the '23 is extra-excellent. Made from nearly three quarters Belle Pente Vineyard fruit, it's generous, forward, and lushly silky while keeping a vivid energy.

Belle Pente fans: obvious case-material. Value Pinot fans: obvious case material. We're fine sounding like a broken record when the result is this delicious.  

2022 vintage notes

Brian and Jill: The 2022 version of our "entry level" bottling is primarily from Jason and Cheryl Tsai's Resplendor (formerly Elvenglade) Vineyard in the northern part of Yamhill-Carlton near Gaston.  We were able to secure 10 tons of fruit from this terrific 25 year-old vineyard in the last moments of the 2022 harvest to make up for a shortfall in our estate vineyard due to frost damage in April.  True to it's Yamhill-Carlton roots, this wine reflects the darker side of Pinot Noir flavors and aromas, but with a freshness that is the hallmark of the 2022 vintage. As always, this "simple" Willamette Valley bottling delivers quality and value far exceeding it's humble price.  Enjoy over the next several years!

We taste as much or more Oregon wine in a given year than anyone on the planet. We look for the needles in the haystacks, the wines you won't find in your local wine store. Wineries have long sought our help to sell their most limited, unique bottlings.

We are picky. We like to sell wines that we like to drink. We refer to taste the wines sell over several days; we want to know how a wine will evolve, how it pairs with food.
