A wine that blew me away on a warm September morning outside of Montepulciano. I've had to wait months for its arrival, all the while hoping that it wasn't just the amazing experience that spoke to me so strongly. Not one bit -- in fact, it's every bit as impressive! Crushed cherries and plums, a hint of violets and spices, all evoking the warm Montepulciano countryside. A perfect pair for any pasta dish, roast, or like me, when you're simply craving a great glass of Italian red. 90% Prugnolo Gentile (Sangiovese), 5% each Mammolo and Canaiolo.
