The warmer site of Illahe was tamed by the cooler, classically “Oregon” vintage. We had five vintages in a row without rain during harvest and with 2019, rain during harvest was a welcome change for many winemakers. A little more challenging, a little tougher picking decisions, but so many beautiful Pinot noirs were made, like this fresh and brightly fruited slurper from Illahe.
Strawberry, fresh raspberry and pie cherry lead the way while pine forest and cinnamon accents liven up the joint. Just kidding--this is plenty lively on its own! The combo of juicy/silky/fruity/spicy makes this a serious Everyday winner.
