94 points Vinous: "Mineral- and spice-accented aromas of fresh red berries, cherry and potpourri, plus a hint of incense in the background. Displays fine clarity to the sappy, appealingly sweet raspberry and cherry flavors, which are complemented by suave floral pastille and exotic spice flourishes. Finishes very long and supple, with harmonious tannins and emphatic, floral-tinged persistence."
2015 vintage notes
94 points Vinous: "Fresh, mineral-accented red berries, incense, Asian spices and potpourri on the incisive, seductively perfumed nose. Nervy, alluringly sweet and penetrating on the palate, offering assertive raspberry, cherry and rose pastille flavors along with building star anise and white pepper nuances. Shows sharp delineation on a strikingly long, graceful finish that features resonating spiciness and silky, even tannins."
93 points Wine Advocate: "A lovely nose of crisp cranberry, Bing cherry and strawberry jam with touches of prosciutto, fresh green tobacco and pink peppercorn. Light to medium-bodied and vibrant in the mouth, it features precise, crisp red fruits laced with meaty and earthy notes, a good frame of grainy tannins and mouthwatering acidity, finishing long, red fruited and savory."
There’s a purity to the fresh raspberry fruit and with air, Pinot’s inner sweetness appears, as does great texture, warm soil tones, and a kiss of orange pekoe tea. A pleasure to drink!
