94 points, Wine of the Week 5/21/26 Paul Gregutt: "This is principally Pinot Gris and Gewurztraminer, a field blend planted in 1986 and co-fermented with three other high acid white wine grapes. Rich and smooth despite the acidity, it attains a surprisingly creamy character as it glides through a palate-pleasing finish. With textured minerality, a mesh of lemon skin and juice, hints of honeysuckle and a citrusy core of Key lime and pineapple, it’s a versatile, one of a kind, thoroughly delicious white wine. I kept returning to the bottle – tried it at various temperatures, cold, medium cool, room temp. I finished the bottle on the third day, and it was at its best. As it warmed in the glass it got creamier and creamier, with butterscotch and ripe citrus fruits. A sensational value."

One of Oregon's best white wines—yes, really—from the original 1986 plantings at Evesham's certified organic Le Puits Sec vineyard. Here, Pinot Gris becomes nobile in texture and length, elevated by the 40 year-old vine age. Gewurztraminer, also from '86, plus their tiny plantings of Gruner Veltliner, Rieslaner and Traminer, add dimensions of richness and spice. Life's too short to drink bad wine.

We taste as much or more Oregon wine in a given year than anyone on the planet. We look for the needles in the haystacks, the wines you won't find in your local wine store. Wineries have long sought our help to sell their most limited, unique bottlings.

We are picky. We like to sell wines that we like to drink. We prefer to taste the wines sell over several days; we want to know how a wine will evolve, how it pairs with food.
