The finest reserve Pinot Noir Illahe has made and of course it comes from 2021! Take a dozen layers of silken red fruits and fuse them together–silk upon silk upon silk. There’s a beautiful concentration of dark cherry, strawberry, and red plum flavors with enlivening accents of allspice, orange zest, rose, and hazelnut (or Filbert, depending on where you’re from). This finishes–you guessed it, silky smooth. 

The Percheron Block sits at the top of Illahe’s vineyard and is named for their Percheron draft horses, Doc and Bea, which are part of the winery’s commitment to reducing fossil fuels. Illahe is one of nine vineyards (and counting) situated in the new Mount Pisgah, Polk County, Oregon AVA (American Viticultural Area). A warm site that experiences slightly earlier budbreak and flowering than many vineyards in the Willamette Valley, they also catch the cooling Van Duzer winds, which cool evening temperatures dramatically.

We taste as much or more Oregon wine in a given year than anyone on the planet. We look for the needles in the haystacks, the wines you won't find in your local wine store. Wineries have long sought our help to sell their most limited, unique bottlings.

We are picky. We like to sell wines that we like to drink. We refer to taste the wines sell over several days; we want to know how a wine will evolve, how it pairs with food.
