This is where it all started for Gorman Winery. In 2002 it was our first and only wine we produced. Zachary's Ladder is a full-bodied and velvety blend of all of our Red Mountain vineyards and aged in 100% French oak for 20 months. All of the barrels used on this wine were once used, allowing the fruit to be the main component and "star" of this wine.
The 2019 is a powerful blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Syrah, 7% Petit Verdot.
Vineyard Sources: Kiona, Quintessence, Klipsun, Boushey, Ciel du Cheval, Obelisco. -Gorman
2016 vintage notes
93 points Wine Spectator: "Deeply structured yet showing plenty of finesse, offering blackberry, steely mineral and licorice flavors that build richness toward polished tannins. Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Petit Verdot. Drink now through 2025. 1,100 cases made."
