The contributions from the soil, with its rare steak of volcanic ash, the whole clusters used in fermentation, the classic Pinot character of the 2022 vintage all combine for layers of delectable intrigue. 96 points Jeb Dunnuck: "From vines planted in 1999 on the west side of the property, roughly two-thirds of the way up the hill, the 2022 Pinot Noir Riona's Block comes from a site with volcanic ash that contributes additional spice and savory lift. Aromas of orange peel, cherry skin, cinnamon, and spice box unfold from the glass. Medium-bodied, it has slightly firmer tannins from greater whole-cluster inclusion, lovely freshness, and excellent aging potential. Drink 2026-2046."

Life's too short to drink bad wine.

We taste as much or more Oregon wine in a given year than anyone on the planet. We look for the needles in the haystacks, the wines you won't find in your local wine store. Wineries have long sought our help to sell their most limited, unique bottlings.

We are picky. We like to sell wines that we like to drink. We prefer to taste the wines sell over several days; we want to know how a wine will evolve, how it pairs with food.
