Such a fun and delicious wine as Brother From Another Mother needs a sibling, right?! Sangiovese and Syrah both smell great on their own and together, yee-fricking-hah it's a party. Red and black cherries, deeper black fruits (thanks, Syrah!), rosemary, sage, ground pepper, good olives—it's a blast! A great pair for all kinds of hearty dinners, and like BFAM, pretty darn crushable on its own, too. 

From the Redolent braintrust: Following the creation of Brother From Another Mother, we simply couldn't resist bringing forth a Sister From Another Mister into the world. And while many people encouraged us to make a delicate pink wine or a crisp white blend for the Sister, we wanted to go for power. We both love Sangiovese and Syrah, so we thought it would be a fun blend opportunity, a la Super Tuscan. 

This wine of America is really a wine of the Pacific Northwest, and most specifically, a wine of the Columbia River Gorge. It is made from Syrah grapes grown on the steep mountain slopes of Mt. Hood and Sangiovese grapes grown along the Columbia River. We like this wine with heartier dishes. Think braised or grilled beef and lamb, pappardelle pasta smothered in pork ragout, bistro smash burgers, mushroom risotto, and robust ratatouille or ribollita. And while this is likely our most robust wine to date, its powerful character is balanced by enough restraint to not cross the line into opulence. So, it makes a delicious standalone drinking experience.

Aromas of red cherry, leather, rosemary, cracked pepper, olives, black currant, and hints of wild herbs, followed by flavors of black cherry, fig, red currant, fresh picked berries, sage, and earthy undertones. This wine is a true testament to the beauty and power of the Pacific Northwest.
