Sequitur Pinot Noir "Triple Seven" 2022
- Buy any 12 bottles or Build a Case® and save!
Our flagship wine, the 2022 Pinot Noir expresses itself with a bouquet of fresh coastal breeze and spring wildflowers on the nose, and a pallet that shows bright fruit similar to ripe pomegranates with a hint of entangled minerality. Incredibly drinkable even in its infancy, the 2022 Pinot Noir marks itself as a wine with great longevity.
Technical Information: The 2022 Sequitur Pinot Noir grapes were harvested between October 4th and October 10th. An average of 12% whole cluster fruit was included in our fermentations. After 18 days on skins, the wine was then gently pressed and settled before being barreled down into 35% new french oak for 11 months.
What is "Triple Seven"?: On the morning of April 15, we woke to find that a deep frost had blanketed the valley floor. The late coming winter weather covered newly blossomed primary buds with an icy veil. Farming is a nebulous art; sometimes its success is owed to wisdom, intuition and experience … other times, you need some luck. As the spring weather returned, we watched secondary buds emerge to produce a near-perfect and plentiful crop. Jackpot! -Mike and Carey
