97 points The Wine Advocate: "The 2021 Pinot Noir Weber Vineyard comes from vines planted in the 1970s and is highly expressive this year, pairing concentration and detail. It has a medium ruby color and alluring, feral aromas: wafts of iron, tar and game meats complement a deep core of briary fruit, and it takes its time in the glass to unfold to higher-toned notes of potpourri. Light-bodied, it's nuanced and detailed, opening to bursts of blood orange and bitters flavors as it moves through the mouth. It has abundant, powdery tannins, mouthwatering acidity and a flourish of spice across the finish. The Weber is already impressive, but it will offer even more after 5-8 years in bottle."
What a difference a stone's throw from Maresh makes—interesting that Jim mentions Cameron because his '21 Weber conjures elements of Clos Electrique Pinot noirs. Distinctly darker fruited than the Maresh vineyard Pinots, hints of musk and game, voluminous and uber-silky. -Marcus
Down Worden Hill road from Maresh about a quarter mile is the incredibly distinctive Weber Vineyard. After my favorite Cameron Pinot, I'd say there would be nothing easier to indentify in a blind tasting than Weber pinot noir. Certainly a 180 from Maresh, Weber is darker with game meat, lavender and black currant. A little less tannin than Maresh but still firm. Planted in 1983.
2019 vintage notes
98 points Wine Advocate: "The aromatics of the 2019 Pinot Noir Weber Vineyard are off the charts! Dark fruits are streaked with violet, burnt orange, botanicals and game meats on the nose, and the palate is equally concentrated and layered. It offers waves of dark fruits, an abundance of silty tannins and incredible freshness that causes the flavors to burst with energy and call you in for another sip. This singular, stunning expression is "a freak of nature," explains proprietor Jim Maresh, who only recently revived the single-vineyard cuvée from the Weber vineyard, 3.5 acres planted in 1983. Maresh says that unforeseen circumstances led to very, very low yields this vintage (less than 0.5 tons per acre), which seems reflected in the intensity of this wine. It should be very long-lived in the cellar."
In 2019 our Weber vines produced 1.74 tons of fruit from 3.6 acres. At .48 tons per acre this Weber is a freak of nature. It's the best Weber we have ever had in the cellar. When it's on, Weber uniquely displays the darkest shade of fruit on Worden Hill road that is often combined with game meat and lavender. It's all there in 2019. Black cherry, espresso beans, soil and lavender. Rich, creamy and dense without any barrel influence. The fruit is going full throttle in harmony without any cloy. This has been a favorite in the cellar even before it finished malolactic fermentation.

93 points Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Pinot Noir Weber Vineyard comes from vines planted in 1983. It has a very refined bouquet with red cherry, wild strawberry, sous-bois and subtle floral notes -- very complex and classy. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, nicely structured with a gentle grip. The fruit veers towards the darker side of the spectrum towards the finish, with blackberry and cranberry fruit, long and edgy. Classy, composed and cool, this is how to make world-class Pinot Noir."

Get ready for 2014. When you open this, you’ll learn what I mean. 2014s are luscious. Even with Jim Maresh’s elegant house style, this baby has fruit to spare. Silky already, even as a super young wine, with effusive black cherry and black raspberry providing the focal point of flavor, accented by floral and sweet earth nuances. From Jim Maresh: “Since 2010, Arterberry Maresh has contracted 1976 and 1983 planted, own-rooted Pommard clone Pinot Noir from Weber Vineyard. The true east-facing site is located southeast of Winderlea and gets limited afternoon sun, though tends to ripen early at 350’-450’ elevation. Since debuting in 2010, Weber has shown to be forward, deep and vibrantly perfumed. Sweet notes of juicy currant, blackcap raspberry, dark cherry, maple, earth and a resinous poppy seed note. The structure is refined and acidity is taut, but Weber speaks in noble, forward tones.
2010 vintage notes
Tanzer 93 Points Light, bright red. High-pitched, mineral- and floral-accented red fruits on the nose, with a licorice nuance adding depth. Spicy, focused and pure, offering intense raspberry and bitter cherry flavors and a refreshing kick of blood orange. Every vintage, Jim Maresh has a surprise up his sleeve. This year, it's his Weber Vineyard Pinot. Holy sh*t this is good! The most evolved and showy of the 2010s, this opens with an awesome array of sweet red fruit, spiced orange, cinnamon stick and anise. The flavors are expansive and velvety, delving into the spectrum of darker red fruit. Elegant power.
Weber Vineyard is a stone's throw southeast of Maresh Vineyard. They are some of the oldest vineyards in the area and were planted by Arthur and Vivian Weber in 1976, with some assistance by Martha Maresh (Jim's Mom.) Jim's Weber Pinot is 100% Pommard clone. 12.8% alcohol.
