97 points Wine Spectator, Hot Wine: "Mint, eucalyptus, plum, earth, oak spice and tar notes mark this lean, sinewy red, which is compact despite starting out with an open feel, with a core of sweet, ripe fruit midpalate. Its assertive tannins require patience, while the aftertaste indicates the future potential. Best from 2028 through 2050."

Our note, pre-score: From one of Barolo's greatest vineyards and as you read above, one of my go-to producers, this should be part of any 2021 Barolo collection. Also noted above: this is virtually guaranteed to get monster scores. That aside, I cannot wait to add some to my cellar and I highly recommend you do the same.

We taste as much or more Oregon wine in a given year than anyone on the planet. We look for the needles in the haystacks, the wines you won't find in your local wine store. Wineries have long sought our help to sell their most limited, unique bottlings.

We are picky. We like to sell wines that we like to drink. We refer to taste the wines sell over several days; we want to know how a wine will evolve, how it pairs with food.
