Ovum is an homage to the past. It is a quest to discover the terroir of the Pacific Northwest, to possibly uncover an expression of place, using naturally produced white wines as a conduit. If the soil could speak to us, think of the root taking a signal from the soil, then transmitting it through the vine and into the grape; we have the opportunity to make that signal audible. Drinking an Ovum wine should be like listening to AM radio, in stereo. We hope that our winemaking philosophy is that last thing you notice about an Ovum wine. Whether the wine is plonk or supernal has very little to do with us, and everything to do with the place and time from which it came.
