96 points Wine Advocate: "The 2022 Chardonnay Estate North Blocks is wildly complex and ever-changing in the glass. Scents of dried peach and lemon drop are complemented by layers of flint, meringue, pastry and green tropical fruit. The medium-bodied palate teases you with slowly unfolding, expansive flavors that range from perfumed fruit to hazelnut. Its concentration and exoticism are foiled by shimmery acidity, and its flavors echo in the mouth long after the wine is gone."

I tasted this at the winery a month ago. Then I had another bottle of it. Last week, another one—my equivalent to when wine reviewers write "tasted twice with consistent notes," only thrice. The consistent note: I love this Chardonnay. It is fantastic and thirst-quenching, complex and well-rounded—such a rarity for a wine to fill all of those niches. That means that when I savor it on its own I can think about all of the beautifully intermingled citrus notes dancing with lemongrass, the way flavor explodes through the finish (yeah, explodes!). Or when I pour a glass with dinner (hanger steak salad with golden beets, snow peas and little gems with a light goat cheese vinaigrette) it can be the perfect pair. I did both. And when I tasted it at the winery it stood out as the best wine—red or white—I tasted over a weekend in wine country. Extraordinarily great. -Marcus

The 2022 Estate North Blocks Chardonnay has an intensely complex bouquet with aromas of lime zest, dried apples, lemongrass and toasted walnuts. There’s a flinty citrus oil texture to this elixir that at times reminds me of thyme infused lemon oil and at other times tangerine oil, I simply love it!!! This wine was bottled unfined and unfiltered showing our commitment to minimal intervention winemaking. -Chris Mazepink, winemaker
