Our first single-vineyard Pinot Noir from Sojeau, an organically farmed, windswept vineyard high in
the Eola-Amity Hills. Planted on a rocky volcanic hillside facing the Van Duzer Corridor, this is a
vineyard we've admired for years. Aromas of allspice, maraschino cherry, pressed flower petals, and
black plum lead into flavors of red currant, boysenberry, and savory herbs. Graceful yet
concentrated, with pronounced stoniness, finely etched tannins, and a lingering lavender perfume. A
beautiful first expression of this exceptional site.

The quick backstory of Redolent Wine is a vineyard owner (David Polite, Carlton Hill Vineyard) contacted a wine salesman (Boyd Pearson) who enlisted a fermenter (Jon Larson) and a winemaker (John Grochau) to help make a single vineyard Pinot Noir. Call it a lucky break. Call it providential. Call it propitious. We just hope you call it delicious! Like the seasons, life comes full circle, and you get through it with a little help from your friends. Redolent Wine is the result of great vineyards and great friendships. 

Redolent Wine is a collaboration between Jon and Boyd. Jon has been a fermenter for decades of everything from grapes and grains to cheese and bread to kimchi and kombucha, never stopping his quest for knowledge about the mystical process of fermentation. Boyd is a veteran salesman in the wine industry and a lifelong student of wine and the business of wine, always seeking to learn and taste more. Introducing someone to a memorable wine brings true joy. Jon and Boyd bring all of their experiences to the table to collaborate on every wine they make and continue to push each other through experimentation to try and produce both wines redolent of place and wines redolent of simple pleasure.

You'll receive order confirmation and we'll cellar the wines for you at no charge.

Add to your case whenever you see wines you can't resist. Each time you add to your Build a Case® order you'll be charged the discounted price.

When you complete your case, we'll apply a shipping rate and contact you to schedule your case for shipment.

Life's too short to drink bad wine.

We taste as much or more Oregon wine in a given year than anyone on the planet. We look for the needles in the haystacks, the wines you won't find in your local wine store. Wineries have long sought our help to sell their most limited, unique bottlings.

We are picky. We like to sell wines that we like to drink. We prefer to taste the wines sell over several days; we want to know how a wine will evolve, how it pairs with food. We want to know if it truly belongs in your cellar, in your glass, and we want to provide you with guidance on how and when it'll be its best.
