When we launched Walter Scott, it was fueled by our savings and a few small loans from family–most notably, a crucial contribution from Erica's mother, Elizabeth Anne McKinnon: an avid trout fisherwoman, mushroom forager, and quilter. Starting a winery from virtually nothing struck many as audacious, yet Erica’s mom shared our bold vision. This wine embodies the idea of taking big risks and following your dreams. Cuvée Anne salutes both Erica’s Mother, as well as our Erica Anne Landon, both of whom had wholehearted faith in the dream of Walter Scott.

2019 vintage notes

97 points Wine Advocate: "The 2019 Chardonnay Cuvée Anne comes from several vineyards, including X Novo, Justice and Seven Springs, and matured in about 45% new wood. It has alluring scents of preserved lemon, saline and graphite, with perfumed white orchard fruits. The palate is linear and pure, with a satiny texture and gentle nutty character at this early stage. Its elevated length and purity suggest this has much more to offer with additional time in bottle."

We taste as much or more Oregon wine in a given year than anyone on the planet. We look for the needles in the haystacks, the wines you won't find in your local wine store. Wineries have long sought our help to sell their most limited, unique bottlings.
