Us: Only the third Freedom Hill single vineyard from still has us asking, "where has this been my whole Pinot-collecting life?!" Her graceful style tames the beast that can be Freedom Hill—the vineyard's blacker fruits and more notable structure are whispers instead of shouts. But as it relates to Kelley's other Pinots, this is bolder in profile and volume with a melange of wild berries that coats your palate and marine sedimentary salinity that makes you thirsty for another sip. 

Kelley Fox: II’m thrilled to offer you my third Pinot noir from Freedom Hill Vineyard, owned and farmed by the Dusschee family. Only seven barrels of this wine comprise this bottling. It’s a dark medium rich red with an eye-clean gemstone appearance.  The nose is filled with gorgeous, dark berries (marionberry, loganberry, etc.) and cherries with ocean-fresh minerals, subtle spices, and appealing woodsy notes that continue into the mouth. There’s great depth and range to the 2023, and it’s beautifully structured and balanced. I love the coiled energy of this wine.
