When it comes to the designation of "Old Vines" in the Pacific Northwest, it's rather relative. Our whole wine industry is barely 50 years-old so how old can the vines be?

Late 1800s, you say? Okay, that's OLD! Sineann Old Vine Zinfandel: there is nothing else like it in Oregon and Washington. Planted around the turn of the century by an immigrant Italian stonemason, the old vines of The Pines Vineyard were neglected for many years until vineyard manager Lonnie Wright started resurrecting the vines in the early '80s.

Prepare yourself for full-bodied ambrosia. Intensely aromatic and intensely fruited, this elixir pours forth with raspberry sauce, black cherry and baked plum. The flavors and feel are full-bodied and super-rich ("not for the faint of palate!", as Sineann writes on the back of the bottle) and the finish is long and heady, adding briar and cracked pepper accents.

We taste as much or more Oregon wine in a given year than anyone on the planet. We look for the needles in the haystacks, the wines you won't find in your local wine store. Wineries have long sought our help to sell their most limited, unique bottlings.
