Harmonious, thoughtful, and delicious. A classically-styled Pinot noir full of silky red fruits, delicate spice and savory accents, carried through on a lithe frame. Like previous vintages, it is soulful and more than we can reasonably expect for the price which makes it exactly our kind of wine. -Marcus

The winery: We make boutique wines and sell them at fair prices.

This bottling is a blend of Pinot noir from four sites: Havlin Vineyard in the Van Duzer Corridor AVA, Nuestro Sueño Vineyard in the Eola-Amity Hills AVA, and Bellevue Cross and Momtazi Vineyard in the McMinnville AVA.

Winemaker and co-owner Akiko Shiba received her engineering degree in Enology and Viticulture from the University of Geisenheim in 2009. Akiko's practical experience is split between the vineyard and cellar as well as between Germany and Oregon. Amongst the wineries where Akiko has gained her practical experience are in Oregon: Evesham Wood, St. Innocent, Ayres and Domaine Serene. In Germany: Franz Keller, Schamari-Muehle, Heyl zu Herrnsheim, Chat Sauvage and Rudolph Fuerst.

Before her career change to the wine industry Akiko graduated from the prestigious Keio University and worked in Tokyo as an editor and journalist in the food and drink sector.

Life's too short to drink bad wine.

We taste as much or more Oregon wine in a given year than anyone on the planet. We look for the needles in the haystacks, the wines you won't find in your local wine store. Wineries have long sought our help to sell their most limited, unique bottlings.

We are picky. We like to sell wines that we like to drink. We prefer to taste the wines sell over several days; we want to know how a wine will evolve, how it pairs with food.
