91 points Wine Enthusiast: "Made entirely with fruit from Johan Vineyard, Rhinestones is an homage to Cheverny in the Loire Valley that blends 60% Gamay Noir with 40% Pinot Noir. It's light and ethereal, with bright acidity and a refreshingly crisp texture. Raspberry and earthy blackberry tea and loamy soil aromas are meadow-like. Blackberry and orange zest flavors mingle with traces of rosemary and thyme."

We like the tongue-in-cheek name; since they can't make an authentic diamond (in the form of an actual Old World wine) they fake it with a Rhinestone. There's nothing fake about Rhinestones' goodness; it takes the best of the two varietals and marries them into a fragrant, refreshingly pure red. I especially like the snappiness of Gamay towards the finish, that peppery black raspberry note adding an extra dimension.

We taste as much or more Oregon wine in a given year than anyone on the planet. We look for the needles in the haystacks, the wines you won't find in your local wine store. Wineries have long sought our help to sell their most limited, unique bottlings.

We are picky. We like to sell wines that we like to drink. We refer to taste the wines sell over several days; we want to know how a wine will evolve, how it pairs with food. We want to know if it truly belongs in your cellar, in your glass, and we want to provide you with guidance on how and when it'll be its best.
