99 points Decanter, their Pinot of the 2023 vintage: "2023 is a dream come true, the wines come in at .2 to .4 % abv lower, with beautifully integrated tannin structure,’ says winemaker Evan Martin. A dazzling Pinot Noir from the Hyland Estate, this is brilliantly floral with spice and a beautiful elegance to the aromatics. There's a reductive earthiness. The soils are generous on the site, providing fuller canopies with medium-sized berries with a lower skin-to-juice ratio. This bottling is a Coury selection clone. Sweet florals, red fruits, and wonderful berries are on the nose, and there are mint leaves, earth, and savoury notes of lavender and lilac. It is so stunning and lingers long on the palate. It finishes with what Martin calls ‘a true ocean character,’ with brine, which lingers on the tip of the tongue. There's depth and breadth here that lingers long. The elegance and completeness of this Pinot Noir floor me."
