It glows with black cherries and spice box before moving to velvety black raspberry and cassis draped in cedar and tobacco. The '22 vintage recalls the character and structure of the first vintages of Manu Propria and that makes us big fans. By this point, our Manu Propria fans are already busy ordering but for the uninitiated, Manu Propria Ex Animo Cabernet Sauvignon is the "personal" label of Mike Macmorran, winemaker for the Mark Ryan empire. Mike makes Manu Propria to honor one of Washington's great growers and vineyards, Mike Sauer's Red Willow.

Manu Propria Ex Animo, from the Latin meaning "by my own hand, from the heart," is Mike's statement to honor and celebrate Red Willow Vineyard and the Sauers, a pioneering wine family who planted some of Washington's first Cabernet vines in 1973.
