Planted in 1985 and bordered by towering Coast Douglas Fir trees, the site feels deeply rooted—both in soil and in spirit.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe southeast-facing slope is planted on moderately deep, well-drained silt clay loam soils of the Goodin and Melbourne series—classic sedimentary soils that define the Yamhill-Carlton AVA.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFir Crest has been farmed sustainably from the beginning and is now stewarded by Robert and Karin Moshier, who took over in 2020.
