Bust out a magnum!
There were only three barrels of Dubay and not at all surprisingly, it was very well received and sold out at the winery before release. Never fear, we reserved a small parcel as futures but it will sell out today. Perfumed, fresh and floral on the nose but much more powerful and structured on the palate, yet with excellent inner sweetness. I love how this developed as it opened, picking up a lovely orange top note on the supremely long finish. 75 cases made of which 6 are available. - Marcus
2015 vintage notes
The debut of Dubay is flat-out awesome! If forced to choose, I’d say it’s my favorite of the 2015 single vineyards. Bursting with energy and dark berry wildness, wrapped in a sophisticated shell. Beautifully layered, adding hints of blood orange -- my favorite winter citrus that’s the prefect balance of sweet and bitter -- this is surprisingly showy already yet will have a solid decade or more of longevity. As Ken and Erica said, this wine is NUTTY good! Only 125 cases made.
Dubay Vineyard is a crazy, steep, rocky site in the Eola-Amity Hills, farmed by master viticulturist Ryan Hannaford (you may recognize his name from Lingua Franca’s Ryan Plow).
