The changes continue at Omero. And we like them. Chad Stock, one of Oregon’s most courageous and intellectual winemakers (whose own Minimus label has been featured in the clubs) has taken over winemaking...and ownership! Putting their money where their mouths are, their beliefs in natural food and wine front and center: they’re the first Oregon (and global) winery to include the wine’s ingredients on the front label.
Ingredients. Such an odd term and thought when it comes to wine. But scratch the surface of that conversation with Chad and you quickly learn the reasoning for honest labeling. You can add some scary things to wine; they aren’t.
What you get is really solid juice, with great structure and purity. In essence, Pinot noir.
90 points, Wine Spectator: "Bright and taut, with powdery tannins enfolding a sleek range of red berry, guava, floral and peppery flavors, finishing harmoniously. Best from 2018 through 2024."
