#96 in Wine Spectator’s Top 100 Wines of 2016, 93 points: "Broad, expressive and light-footed, this brims with cherry, plum, licorice and cashew flavors that keep singing on the focused finish. Drink now through 2024."

A richer, more voluptuous expression of Oregon Pinot -- a fitting description of the 2014 vintage as a whole -- this silky-textured beauty is an absolute pleasure to drink. Dark berries, a layer of dried cherry, black tea and thyme mingle but to reiterate, it's all about the silk. Tannin management is key to Jean-Nicolas, which is supremely evident. - Marcus

A partnership between Jean-Nicolas Méo, owner and winemaker of famed Burgundian winery Domaine Méo-Camuzet and longtime friend Jay Boberg, one of the most influential music entrepreneurs of the last several decades, Nicolas-Jay has exceeded our expectations and softened our cynical edge. We highly recommend you check them out. And so does Wine Spectator (wink).
