Lobo Hills Right Bank Blend 2014
2012 vintage notes
Fantastic juice! I tasted it without knowing its price and I guessed it was close to $30. When I found out the price, it was pure bright-eyed enthusiasm. For $20, it’s one of the Washington discoveries of the year.
It smells like a wine you want to drink - that’s the best way to describe it. Supple and silky cassis and black cherry glides, with super attractive accents of clove and white pepper. A versatile red: great for sipping on its own and even better with the right meal, which could include smoky grilled chicken, or a summer ratatouille. The blend is 81% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot, 7% Cabernet Franc, 3% Malbec, and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon.
