When we say "blue fruits" in a tasting note, what do we mean? I don't see so much as blueberries but more a color spectrum of blue tones and the "coolness" associated with blue. So yeah, this is the Miles Davis Kind of Blue of Willamette Valley Pinot—and it's so cool! Moderate yields and small berries made for intense flavors of blue fruits, sassafras, and rich round textures.

20% Koosah Vineyard and 80% Big Cheese Vineyard, planted on rocky volcanic soils and cooled by pacific ocean breezes. Winemaking was kept to a bare minimum: fermented with native yeast and 35% whole cluster, aged on the lees for 11 months then gently racked to tank and bottled unfined and unfiltered. -Hundred Suns

We taste as much or more Oregon wine in a given year than anyone on the planet. We look for the needles in the haystacks, the wines you won't find in your local wine store. Wineries have long sought our help to sell their most limited, unique bottlings.
