We love Murto Vineyard, nestled in the Dundee Hills along Worden Hill Road, a stone's throw from several of our other favorite vineyards (Maresh and Abbey Ridge, to name two). Its old vines produce elegant wines, especially in the cellar of Granville.
We’re so excited to watch Jackson and Ayla Holstein grow Granville Wine Co. They are humble, hard-working, and genuine–exactly the kind of people that will carry the Willamette Valley’s second generation forward for the next several decades. And speaking of growing, while they grow Granville they’re also growing a family so we say a huge congratulations to the arrival of the second winegrower-in-training.
2015 vintage notes
93 point Vinous, Josh Raynolds: "Expansive, seductively perfumed red fruit liqueur, potpourri and Asian spice scents, along with deeper cola and licorice notes in the background. Seamless, sweet and penetrating on the palate, offering plush raspberry and cherry preserve and spicecake flavors that become more energetic as the wine airs out. The spice and floral notes drive an impressively long, lively finish that's given gentle grip by smooth, harmonious tannins."
