One of the highlights of my September 2018 Italy trip was my visit to the cellar of Giacomo Fenocchio. I was impressed by everything I tasted, from bottled 2014s to 2015 and 2016 vintages still in cask. But to the matter (or vintage, rather) at hand: Fenocchio's Barolo shows excellent, typical character, highlighting crushed raspberry and cherry alongside aromatic herbs and brown spices. With lovely freshness, it can enjoyed today (especially with decanting). - Marcus
