Beginning in 2020, Dusky Goose Winery introduces its new Rambeaux line of wines made by famed Winemaker, Lynn Penner-Ash. Created from a blend of fruit from our Estate vineyards, Rambeaux Pinot Noir is the vivacious, lively younger sister of Dusky Goose. Rambeaux’s striking label features an illustrated sheep skull as a nod to the Rambouillet longhorn sheep raised by co-founder Linda Carter’s family for over 100 years in eastern Oregon. These sheep are also the namesake of our Rambouillet Estate vineyard in Dundee, Oregon.
Rambeaux, affectionately coined by Lynn Penner-Ash, originally comes from her shorthand when labeling barrels of wine from our Rambouillet vineyard. Rambeaux is comprised of wine made from our estate Rambouillet & Fennwood vineyards located respectively in the Dundee Hills & Yamhill Carlton AVAs. Lynn Penner-Ash ages Rambeaux Pinot Noir in 70% neutral and 30% new French oak for 9 months before bottling.
