Cote Bonneville Carriage House Red 2009
2008: A fantastic vintage in Washington. The aromatics open with black cherry, spice, cedar and pipe tobacco. The rich, round, lush weight of the palate carries bing cherry, boysenberry, savory herbs, currant, cocoa, and cinnamon toast. 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc.
2007: the most "Bordeaux-like" of the line-up, showing leather and herbs along with rich cassis fruit. Drank well from the start.
2006: on day one, it showed smokier dark red fruits and milk chocolate. Blossoming on day two, it proved that a another year or two in the cellar will do the trick.
2005: supple, smooth, absolutely delicious. This was the "Goldilocks" wine: just right!
