The note below was written right when this was bottled -- imagine the review if he tried it today? I did, and you know I don't assign scores to wines I taste but boy am I tempted. Consider this great wine made; it's even more seamless and beautiful now.
95+ point Vinous, Antonio Galloni: "An absolute stunner, the 2011 Barbaresco Riserva Asili, emerges from the glass with a mélange of exotic, beguiling aromatics. Lavender, pine, rose petal, savory herbs and melted road tar form a fabric of nearly indescribable beauty. Proprietor Giulio Grasso elected to leave the wine on its skins until the end of November. Power and finesse have never been so seamless here. Although just bottled, the 2011 Asili Riserva is a great wine in the making."
