94 points Wine Spectator: "Expressive, rich and complex, layering blueberry, cherry and plum flavors with savory spice and cedar notes, with fine-powder tannins lifting the long finish. Best from 2018 through 2024. 500 cases made."
Le Pre du Col Pinot Noir is dark cherry red in color and has perhaps our most Burgundy-inspired aromas of mushroom and forest floor, wild red and dark fruits and a savory salty culinary type of influence of meat, spices, brown sugar and the tell-tale Le Pre du Col cinnamon red-hot cherry candies.
This wine has great mineral cut and juicy mouthwatering natural acidities with very fine tannins. The wine is very spicy and sweet in the mouth with a slight hint of reduction, mushrooms and red fruits.
Always a staff and sommelier favorite it is a great vintage for this vineyard that is going from strength to strength as the vines mature and all 16 acres are now producing.
