95 points Vinous: "Vibrant, mineral-accented aromas of fresh peach, Anjou pear, Meyer lemon and saffron carry a suave floral overtone. Juicy and densely packed, displaying a deft marriage of depth and vivacity to the palate-staining citrus and orchard fruit and honeysuckle flavors. Picks up smoky lees and iodine nuances with air and shows superb clarity and back-end lift. The impressively long, penetrating finish emphatically repeats the mineral and floral notes and leaves a sappy pear nectar note behind."
Eyrie Chardonnays are built to age. Eyrie's contribution to Oregon Chardonnay cannot be overstated. From my perspective, the Oregon Chard boom was largely spurred by Eyrie's revelatory 30-year vertical tasting of their Chardonnays (which I was very fortunate to attend). A complex and youthfully fascinating wine today, the real pleasure comes with age. - Marcus
