A fantastic new Cab franc from one of Washington unsung hero wineries, Lobo Hills. We say “unsung” because after more than a decade of outstanding wines, Tony Dollar’s Lobo Hills is still a new discovery. We scratch our heads…knowing that the rest of the wine world will catch up sooner or later.
Expressive and exuberant, Tony nailed the elegant side of Cabernet franc, not typically seen from Washington, With body more like a Pinot noir than a Washington big red, it’s an eye-opening and totally yummy new discovery!
92 points, Editors’ Choice Wine Enthusiast: “This wine—100% varietal—was fermented with rocks from the vineyard. Aged in neutral oak, the aromas are fruit-forward, with notes of raspberry, fresh herbs, flowers and moist earth. A full-flavored, silky palate follows. It shows a lot of freshness, and the tannins are quite polished. It's a complete delight. Decant and pair it with grilled pork loin.”
