Holy sh!t this has an awesome nose—I smelled it for minutes before taking the first sip, lost in my thoughts as Grant and Andy continued discussing this new breathtaking Pinot noir. Once I snapped out of its trance enough to at least pick up my pen, I marveled at the completeness of the whole wine from beginning to end, the incredible undulating aromatic and flavor brilliance. You read "seamless" in tasting notes and well—this wine has no seams, stitched together in some magic fashion as to move like a gentle wave. In my opinion, the best wine Grant has made. -Marcus

This special bottling is a barrel selection from three distinct vineyards all planted on ungrafted or "own rooted" Pinot Noir. Due to the root louse, phylloxera, these plantings have become increasingly rare and this selection shows the beauty and elegance that can be achieved when Pinot Noir is planted without rootstock.

Picked in late September & early October this wine possesses the delicate floral, etched red fruit and silky yet firm tannins that exemplify the best of Pinot Noir in Oregon.

33% Noren, WIllamette Valley AVA - Marine Sedimentary

We taste as much or more Oregon wine in a given year than anyone on the planet. We look for the needles in the haystacks, the wines you won't find in your local wine store. Wineries have long sought our help to sell their most limited, unique bottlings.
