The Ribbon Ridge American Viticultural Area (AVA) was established in 2005. It is the smallest AVA within the Willamette Valley yet is home to some of Oregon's most prestigious wineries and vineyards: Beaux Freres, Brick House, Patricia Green Cellars, to name a few.

Ribbon Ridge is a distinct, natural, geological formation comprised entirely of marine sedimentary soils. It was given its name by an early settler because the top of the ridge twists like a ribbon.

Ribbon Ridge lies five miles west of the city of Newberg.
