Without engaging in any exaggeration, Ansel Willamette Valley Pinot noir was THE surprise Pinot deal of the last year. We didn't see it coming and couldn't have predicted the tidal wave-like response from you all. To this day, we get a couple emails a week asking "is there any of that Ansel available?"
Today we're stoked to be able to answer in the affirmative: Ansel is back, with an entirely new label but the same general theme: like the 2017, the 2018 is made from seriously high-end juice from wineries which can't be named (legally). And it tastes expensive. You recognize immediately by the texture and feel, which are decidedly NOT $20. But the price is and that's all that matters!
How they stack up: you'll think we're BS-ing but the 2018 is a better overall wine. It has the same luxurious feel but better overall balance. We'll leave it to you to decide but as we said last time, this is an absolutely dynamite deal in Willamette Valley Pinot.
