93 points Vinous: "“Fresh red berry, lavender, vanilla and woodsmoke scents are sharpened by mineral and white pepper flourishes. Taut and focused on the palate, offering bitter cherry and raspberry flavors that deepen and become sweeter with aeration. Blends power and delicacy with a deft hand and finishes impressively long and sappy; harmonious tannins lend gentle grip.”
From the winery: "We love working with Maresh Vineyard. The earthiness and minerality create a distinctive softness and complexity. It generally matures nicely over time and we expect this vintage to age beautifully. This wine was rated a 93 by Vinous and a prior vintage was selected as Diamond of the Decade Wine of the Oregon Wine Awards. Maresh Vineyard has produced legendary Pinot Noir for more than forty years after being planted by Jim Maresh in the Dundee Hills on lava soil.
Dad: Juicy cherries. Bright cherry and orange peel, savory, and minerals. Long finish.
Fille: This wine reminds me of Emma Stone- bright and accessible up front, but displays considerable range and depth over time. The mouthfeel is smooth, but spiked by bright acidity. It would pair beautifully with salmon, coq au vin, and gamey poultry. I am enjoying it now, but it will unfold beautifully in 3-5 years."
