Schooler Nolan Horse Heaven Hills Reserve Red Wine 2017

It's rare–incredibly rare–that a wine redefines a category. Schooler Nolan did it with just two vintages of their Horse Heaven Hills Red. The category is "incredible value Washington red" and you can add "from a small family winery." The 2017, ready to roll now, is our new value benchmark in Washington red wine. Other wines will be judged (perhaps harshly) against it. But we don't have to worry about those other wines because a) you won't hear about them and b) there are cases of Schooler Nolan waiting for you.

This tastes expensive. You trusted us last time we said it and according to the feedback you gave us and the massive number of re-orders, we were right.

This Cab, Merlot, Petit Verdot isn't just a great value, it's a great wine. Delicious when you first crack the bottle–dreamy Horse Heaven Hills black cherry goodness, more mouth-filling red and black fruits, mellow chocolate notes, so smooooth it needs the extra o's–and it holds up surprisingly well over a couple days, another rarity at this price. Case-worthy!

Schooler Nolan comes to us partly from Homer, Alaska and partly from Richland, Washington, born from the Fat Olives restaurants that father/son duo Tiny and JD Nolan operate in each locale.

Type: Red Blend
