Wines For Your Weekend Enjoyment: June Hits

Happy weekend from your favorite wine guys,

As always, we trust you have great wines lined up for the weekend and in case you need any inspiration or provisions for future weekends, we offer a 6-pack of standouts from the last month. We deeply appreciate your support; cheers to you!
The last 5 cases!
Evesham Wood Mahonia Vineyard Pinot noir 2015
$35.95 in any 12 bottle or Build a Case* order ($39.95 regular)
96 points PinotFile: "Oh, my God!" aromas of fresh cherry, exotic spices including clove and allspice, fertile earth and a hint of gingerbread. The flat-out delicious red cherry core is in sync with a lovely Wassail spice accent. Seamlessly composed in a mid weight style, with welcome vibrancy and a lasting echo of scent and fruit on the finish. I especially liked this wine for its uniqueness. A wine-gasm that is a must for Pinot lovers."

Twill Cellars Willamette Valley Chardonnay 2017
$19.75 in any 12 bottle or Build a Case* order ($21.95 regular)
Another vintage of liquid gold from Twill. Like the sound of a mountain creek, like fluffy white summer clouds in a bluebird, sun-drenched sky, it has a calm to it. Lemongrass, white peach, a key lime pie finish that lasts, accents of sea air and ginger -- it's complex in all the rights ways yet completely friendly. It's as universally appealing as Oregon Chardonnay gets, in both taste and price. Yeah, it's that good.

Marziano Abbona Dogliani Papa Celso 2017
$23.35 in any 12 bottle or Build a Case* order ($25.95 regular)
93 points Vinous, Antonio Galloni: "The 2017 Dogliani Papà Celso is a drop-dead gorgeous stunner. One of the most compelling wines in all of Italy, the Papà Celso captures the essence of Dolcetto from Dogliani in stunning style. The warm, dry year concentrated the flavors and textures, and yet all of the signatures are very much in place. A rush of black cherry jam, game, smoke, leather, and licorice infuse this super-expressive, beautifully delineated wine from Marziano Abbona. Don't miss it."

Broadley Willamette Valley Pinot noir 2018
$18.85 in any 12 bottle or Build a Case* order ($20.95 regular)
A LOT of Pinot for the price -- one of the best values going in Oregon Pinot --  it's as universally appealing as $20 Pinot gets! A dark fruited beauty with excellent refinement, it sings and resonates with delicious fresh black berry juicy acidity and Broadley sweet earth through the yummy finish.

Felsina Chianti Classico Rancia Riserva 2016
$44.95 in any 12 bottle or Build a Case* order ($49.95 regular)
96+ points Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Chianti Classico Riserva Rancia knocks it out of the park. Like the other new releases from Fèlsina, this pure expression of Sangiovese needs more time to evolve and improve with bottle age. But even at this young stage, you are made fully aware of the beautiful intensity and complexity of the quality fruit at its core. There is so much energy and tension here, further reinforced by the fresh acidity of the vintage. There are vibrant tones of wild cherry, raspberry and spice, followed up by white truffle and tilled earth."

Violin Justice Vineyard Pinot noir 2017
$49.45 in any 12 bottle or Build a Case* order ($54.95 regular)
A tale of two sides (soils) in Justice Vineyard leads to a Pinot with two sides: dark and showy; wound up and energetic. The two sides begin to merge quickly, with electricity pulsing through bold, beautiful darkness. An exotic, mouthwatering fruit note appears -- salt flecks on passion fruit -- before the striking blue-black fruited intensity of Justice establishes its hold. Accents of violets and sage add depth and and dimension (as if it needed more!), creating a dynamic, powerful Pinot. As we've found so far in the best 2017 Pinots, it's deliciously engaging now while boasting the kind of structure to reward a decade of age. Only 45 cases total were made.

We're looking forward to helping you with an order. Have a great weekend!
