Under-the-Radar Washington Blends: Andrew Will, Kevin White

Hey Washington red fans,

We have a couple new under-the-radar red blends that we're particularly excited about because a)they're delicious and b) they offer incredible value. First, a sub-$20 Bordeaux blend from Andrew Will? Don't mind if we do! Next, one of our favorite new additions to our portfolio: Kevin White's fantastic Chateauneuf-style blend, La Fraternite. We highly recommend both.

Andrew Will Involuntary Commitment Red Blend 2016

$17.95 in any 12 bottle or Build a Case* order ($19.95 regular)
This stealthy new project is the brainchild of Andrew Will, one of Washington's, and dare we say the country's, most celebrated wineries. They declassified some of their fruit (which is among the best in the state!) to produce this Tuesday night dinner winner. A great combo of ripe fruit and elegance, exuding currants, plums, tobacco leaf and licorice, it's an Andrew Will Bordeaux blend for 1/3 the price! - Marcus

From Andrew Will: "A wine with the instinctive elegance of the involuntary and the comforting strength of commitment. This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot shows balance, full flavor and goes as well with a casual weekday dinner as it does with a highly anticipated special occasion. With such great fruit coming out of our vineyards this year, we just couldn't help but spread the wealth."

Kevin White La Fraternite Red Blend 2015
$26.05 in any 12 bottle or Build a Case* order ($28.95 regular)
Kevin White is a rising star of Washington wine and this Chateauneuf du Pape-esque blend demonstrates why. Superbly balanced, highlighting pure fruit and finesse, it cascades with red summer berries alongside violets and grilled herbs. Highly versatile on the dinner table, I'd go anywhere from grilled salmon to ratatouille, to duck or lamb. 60% Grenache, 33% Mourvedre, and 7% Syrah. - Marcus

This wine has twice made Wine Enthusiast's Top 100 (and it's only been made since 2011!). The 2015 received 93 points and Editor's Choice.
