Trust Us: You Don't Want to Miss This

We had planned to give you, our dear customers, a break today but you have to trust on this one–you don't want us to take a break now, not when this dynamite deal of a Pinot is to be had!

I opened it casually to begin writing a tasting note for the wine club newsletter...and the next thing I know I was frantically trying to finish the note, wound up with nervous energy because I couldn't wait to tell you about it! There's a bit of a story so if you're impatient, just proceed directly to "buy" and you'll thank me for it. I guarantee it.

The story: Megan Anne is the Willamette Valley, and real life spouse of Washington’s Mark Ryan. Megan and Mark are hardcore Pinot fans; the Willamette Valley has long been a special place to them (they were married in Lachini vineyard in the Chehalem Mountains). They used to make one Pinot noir under the Mark Ryan label and when it came time to grow the Pinot project, they reached out to famed winemaker Isabelle Meunier. If you don’t immediately recognize her name, here’s a refresher: while at Evening Land, Isabelle made Wine Spectator’s highest rated Oregon Pinot ever, the 98-point La Source 2012. Isabelle agreed to make a whole suite of Willamette Valley Pinots from well-known vineyards–Justice, Nysa, and Freedom Hill–and Megan Anne was off and running!

But...when you make a wine mostly for restaurants and then all restaurants are closed, you have to get creative. Originally priced at $40, the new "official" price is $30. In order to get creative on our end and to tip the scales in your favor, today it's $24.95 in any Build a Case order. Do not sit this one out!

$24.95 in any 12 bottle or Build a Case order ($29.95 regular)

A knockout combination in all ways: robust and forward, silky and quintessentially Pinot. One of our favorite Washington wineries, Mark Ryan, and one of the most celebrated Oregon Pinot makers, Isabelle Meunier. At this price and this level of flavor, this is a dynamite deal in Willamette Valley Pinot and one you should buy by the case!

Beautiful blackberry and plum mingle with cocoa powder and hints of black tea. The finish lasts forever–I took my first sip then started writing, realizing after 15 minutes that I was still savoring it. - Marcus

From Justice, Nysa, Freedom Hill, and Wilson Fjord vineyards.

"The 2018 vintage in the Willamette Valley marks the fifth year in a row where mother nature cooperated nicely. Akin to 2008, we had dryer than normal summer with no rain, which expedited ripening somewhat, as well as promoted good concentration and silky tannin development. Overall a truly winning combo, which will mark 2018 as one of the great vintages to collect." - Winemaker Isabelle Meunier
