This OR Sparkling Wine Blew Our Doors Off!

You wouldn't know it from our offers and website but we love Champagne and we drink a lot of it. The more Champagne we've drunk over the years, the higher our standards have risen for "other" sparkling wine. "Other" as in Oregon. But for the second time in a handful of years, one Oregon winery's signature Blanc de Blancs has blown our doors off. This is it:

$44.95 in any 12 bottle or Build a Case order ($49.95 regular)

The first sip, I snapped to attention. The second, a gulp, I skipped right past "judging" it and into deep appreciation and enjoyment. My Champagne-fanatic life partner was equally in awe; she and I crushed the bottle in no time.

A couple days later I was talking with one of our favorite Willamette Valley winemakers—another Champagne-headand couldn't resist telling him about Lundeen's Blanc de Blancs. He cut me off with "oh yeah, we're drinking a ton of it, it's amazing!"

Michael Lundeen, who we've found to be modest when it comes to his winemaking prowess, knows how good his Blanc de Blancs is. When I said, "this is the s#!t" he pretty much said, "yup."

Whether you're a diehard fan of all things bubbly or just dipping your toe in the wonderfully cool, sparkling waters, we highly recommend you check this out!

And more Lundeen!

This excellent and excellent-value blend of Pinot noir and Chardonnay deserves your attention. Hint: buy a sparkling-wine stopper and you can enjoy this or any great sparkler over several days, sipping a glass here and a glass there. Bubbles work so perfectly with food, from salads to soups, sushi to pizza. We know—it's what we drink.
And because we're always poking around for new and exciting wines, especially those with bubbles...When one of the top Barolo houses—and one of our favorite—makes a reasonably priced sparkling rose, we have to dive in. The first case was split between the two of us. It's your turn!

Equal parts Nebbiolo and Pinot noir, the decisive character of the Nebbiolo meets the gentle elegance of Pinot noir. The vineyard, Nostra Signora Della Neve, is located in Roddino, at the confluence of the Barolo area and the Alta Langa. It's a magnificent vineyard, steep, entirely worked by hand from pruning to harvest; the soil, calcareous and poor, forces the vines to dig deep, giving the wine an extraordinary minerality.
