The Taste of Home: New Willamette Valley Pinot

I tasted a lot of Pinot last week, including a bunch of $75-100 Pinot. At the end of it all, the one I wanted in my glass is this newcomer from Redolent: This Must Be The Place 2019. After so many years awash in Pinot, I know when one is soulful, when it hits the spot. This must be the wine!

Fresh and buoyant with a gentle weight, like the best down comforter. The fruits are all red; even the spice, herb, and earth tones evoke a grounding quality. Maybe after almost 17 years in Oregon it's the taste and feel of home.

Only 3 barrels were made of which fewer than 10 cases are available. Bring some into your home.

$32.95 in any 12 bottle or Build a Case order ($35.95 regular)

"Redolent: pleasant aromas that evoke affecting memories or associations; a fragrance or flavor strongly remindful, causing recollections or reminiscences.

The wine is a dedication to Oregon's beautiful Willamette Valley, where we call home. A single vineyard, single site wine redolent of place. It is our hope that you will create memories around a glass of this wine and reminisce every time you enjoy it."

Sourced from Pelos Sandberg Vineyard in the Eola-Amity Hills, only 72 cases were produced. Aged entirely in Neutral oak, unfiltered and unfined.

"Home, is where I want to be, but I guess I'm already there
I come home, she lifted up her wings, I guess this must be the place" -David Byrne, The Talking Heads
