Ribbon Ridge WOWers: Goodfellow, Vincent, Brick House

Ribbon Ridge is the Willamette Valley's smallest designated wine-growing appellation but it is home to some of Oregon's most famous wineries (Beaux Freres, Patricia Green Cellars, and Brick House, in particular).

Based on our recent tastings, Ribbon Ridge is also home to some of the best quality values in the Oregon Pinot marketplace. Three wines wowed us: the bafflingly tasty Goodfellow, the screaming-deal Vincent, and the regal statesman Brick House. All three are ready for business: engaging and delicious from sip one.

Goodfellow Family Cellars Ribbon Ridge Pinot noir 2015

$26.95 in any 12 bottle or Build a Case* order
($29.95 regular)
We have a technical term for a wine like this: stupid-good. Upfront and dynamic, showing beautiful mixed berries and subtle, spice-laden structure beneath. The product of a clearly outstanding vintage for Whistling Ridge Vineyard, this wine's source, and for Goodfellow, where there was so much fantastic juice that a banging single-vineyard Pinot has a more basic label designation and a super-modest price tag. - Marcus

Vincent Ribbon Ridge Pinot noir 2016

$23.35 in any 12 bottle or Build a Case* order
($25.95 regular)
Vincent nails the best of Ribbon Ridge, making a stellar value Pinot that's both fun and serious. Vibrant and loaded with yummy fruit, delectably accented by floral, mineral, and spice notes. One sip of this silky number and you'll be calling us for more. Another single vineyard wine (Armstrong Vineyard) with a "simple" Ribbon Ridge label, it's a screaming deal. - Marcus

Brick House Select Pinot noir 2016
$35.05 in any 12 bottle or Build a Case* order ($38.95 regular)
This gem -- the best "Select" yet in my opinion -- from one of the most revered names in Willamette Valley wine, may not be as inexpensive as the others but it's every bit the value. Made from the winery's biodynamically-certified Ribbon Ridge estate fruit, it has all of the elegant complexity and Pinot purity of Brick House's hallmark wines with an added generosity and openness. Classic Brick House notes of crushed berries, cinnamon, lavender, and sweet earth will mesmerize you. Take it from us. - Marcus
We're looking forward to helping you with an order. Thanks for your support and have a great weekend!
