We're due for our first snow of the the season next week so naturally, we're thinking about tropical places and refreshing white wines! Few whites in the past year have refreshed us quite like Rotie's Southern White Blend—Viognier, Roussanne, and Marsanne done right. Great richness and density for a winter white wine, refreshing enough for year-round sipping. Refresh yourself!
One of our favorite Pacific Northwest Rhone-style whites in years! Textural and flavor richness, a beautiful mix of tropical and stones fruits, honeyed and floral notes, but what really makes this sing is the freshness and overall balance (with a refreshing 12.8% abv). Fun on its own, with plenty of body for year-round enjoyment, while being a great match for tons of dinners.
91 points Wine Enthusiast, Editor's Choice: "White wines are an extreme rarity in the valley. This one shows the area's potential. A blend of Viognier (66%), Roussanne (18%) and Marsanne, the aromas are vibrant in notes of honeysuckle, pear, tangerine and wet stone. The palate is redolent with sleek, lively stone-fruit flavors that show a dazzling sense of purity and linger on the finish."
