Inspired by our last day of sunshine before a forecast of 10 straight days of rain and clouds, we've assembled notes from our recent tastings to offer a handful of favorite sunshine white wines (and a pink wine made from white grapes). Super food friendly and refreshing, each one has its own unique style within Northwest wine. They all come highly recommended and given the upcoming weather, it's a great time to ship the last case or three before summer (wink wink, nudge nudge)!Antiquum Farm Aurosa Pinot gris Rose 2016
$26.05 in any 12 bottle or Build a Case* order ($28.95 regular)
This exquisite wine gets its color and depth of intrigue from allowing estate-grown Pinot gris to ferment on the skins for 36 hours (Pinot gris skins have color!). It starts in the vineyard, where the Pinot gris is farmed like high-end Pinot noir, specifically to allow more sun exposure to thicken the skins and develop great aromatic complexity and structure. Beautiful texture and beaming freshness with mouthwatering nectarine and mixed citrus, lavender and rose hips. Not that it matters (well, maybe a little), but the label is gorgeous too.Buty Semillon, Sauvignon, Muscadelle 2014
$20.65 in any 12 bottle or Build a Case* order
One of our top Northwest white wines each vintage is Buty's ode to white Bordeaux. The nose shows lovely floral-accented lime and grapefruit while the palate is richly textured with honeyed citrus. Fresh acidity joins mineral and saline notes as this sings on a harmonious and refreshing finish.Abacela Albariño 2016
$16.15 in any 12 bottle or Build a Case* order ($17.95 regular)
Dynamite juice! Gorgeous citrus and floral aromas lead to pear, citrus, and mineral on the super fresh, vibrant palate. The finish combines all the above into a wonderfully complete, zesty, and versatile white.
We look forward to helping you with an order. Thanks for your support!
